Meet Stanley’s next principal, Danielle Fischer
Dani Fischer and family

Dani Fischer with her family.

Greetings Stanley Family,

I am both humbled and honored to be selected to serve as your new Principal of Stanley Elementary. One of Stanley’s strengths is the collective commitment that is centered on the community and working together, “Stanley Strong.” Over several days I had the opportunity to meet with staff and tour the school. I found that everyone at Stanley believes that our students can succeed.

Education is certainly not an easy job but comes with tremendous rewards. I have been in education for the past 15 years. As a parent of an incoming Kindergartener, I know firsthand the importance of having positive home / school relationships. Building and maintaining a strong partnership between families and the school ensures that your child has all the support they need.

On a personal level, I grew up in Bellingham, WA. After college I was a teacher, then an instructional coach in the Federal Way School District. For the past five years, I’ve served as an administrator in the Bethel School District. I am thrilled to make my way to the Tacoma School District, the community where I live. I am married with a 3-year-old son and 5-year-old son. In my free time I enjoy being with my family outside. We spend lots of time in the mountains skiing, camping and hiking.

One thing I want you to know about me is I love my job!  Getting to work with students each day is the best job. There is nothing more rewarding than working in a place where I get to witness students learning and growing every day. One of my core beliefs, “If you teach to the heart of a child, their mind will follow.” As we move forward together, please don’t hesitate to contact me for anything your family may need.

I am excited to continue all the outstanding work to support students and staff and kick off the 2022-23 school year. I look forward to meeting you soon!

Sincerely,

Dani Fischer
